Every morning before going to work I go outside (on nice days) and drink my coffee as talking to the beautiful flowers and herbal garden. It is soooo relaxing as I hear the beautiful sounds of the birds as well.

Regards,
PhyllisPhyllisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2675909413199524374.post-30947261354915032422011-05-25T18:50:39.268+03:002011-05-25T18:50:39.268+03:00Shalom Miriam:

It is absolutely maddening that the neighbor won't keep his rabbits in a controlled space. What does he need rabbits for anyway? (except that they are beautiful and interesting) -- does he use them for eating (rabbit stew?!). On a moshav almost anything is possible, as I remember well from Nir Akiva.

The internet search Google may have some references to this problem -- and/or recommendations of what other species of flowers you could plant next (in addition to cacti) that will not attract rabbits and nibbling-type little creatures. Placing a wired screen over everything would work, but it defeats the purpose of the garden's beauty being visible.

Anyway, you have accumulated many hours of experience now as a real farmer, and all that grubbing in the "soil of Israel" is well worth it.

EllenEllennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2675909413199524374.post-76624504604897973342011-05-25T18:48:48.774+03:002011-05-25T18:48:48.774+03:00"Exquisitely simple solution to your rabbit p..."Exquisitely simple solution to your rabbit problem: get a dog.
